Some of you ran DonutFlipper through a virus scanner and got told it steals Minecraft accounts. It never did — but the scanner was looking at something real. That something is gone now.

Why scanners flagged it

To prove you own the account you play on, the mod used to ask Minecraft for your access token and hand it to Mojang’s own login server. The token only ever went to Mojang, never to us. But “read the access token, then call the login server” is exactly the pair of calls an account stealer is made of, so scanners flagged it, and they were right to be suspicious of it.

Now the mod proves your account a different way, one that never asks Minecraft for your access token. Nothing changes for you: it still signs in on its own when you join.

  • NEWThe jar contains no code that reads your access token, anywhere.
  • IMPROVEDWorks with No Chat Reports, and your chat stays exactly as protected as it was.

Sign out that signs you out

Forget account used to drop your login and sign straight back in a second later. It is now Sign out, and it means it: no login, no data in the panel, nothing sent to us — even after a restart — until you press Sign in.

The Account panel in the mod's settings showing status Signed out and a Sign in button
Signed out. Prices and metas you had loaded disappear from the panel too.

A tour on your first join

The first time you join DonutSMP with the mod, a short tour opens: eight steps, about a minute, showing where everything is. It starts with what DonutFlipper is actually about — a craft that turns a profit — and the grid you just watched becomes our logo.

The first step of the tour: the DonutFlipper logo with Crafting profit on DonutSMP under it
Gold ingots in a crafting grid, the middle one flying along the arrow to the result slot
Ingots drop in, the middle one is crafted...
A gold block in the result slot with a green profit bar under it
...into a block, and the rest becomes the mark.
Tour step four: an auction page of pickaxes with one outlined in green, and the Best Drill panel beside it
Every step is drawn with the real panel's parts, so the real thing already looks familiar. No made-up prices.

Arrow keys move, Esc skips, and it only comes once. Want it again? Type /tutorial in chat — it is a client command and never reaches the server — or press Show the tour again in Settings.

Every game language

DonutSMP translates its menus into your game language. Ours went looking for the English title — so if you play in Spanish, German or anything else, the auction page said SUBASTA and the Best Drill panel simply never showed up. The same happened on /orders.

The Spanish auction page titled SUBASTA (Page 1) with the Best Drill panel beside it and the best drill outlined in green
SUBASTA, Best Drill and all. The menus are now recognised by their buttons, not their title.

A quicker panel

Pressing the panel key used to flash the screen black for a moment before the window came up. It now opens at once, already built, and fades in over the game.

  • FIXEDThe auction house, Best Drill and the order board work in every game language. Drill timers like “Autodestrucción: 4h 29m” are read too.
  • IMPROVEDThe panel opens instantly. No black flash when you press the key, and from the second press on it is already built.
  • IMPROVEDWhile the panel loads you see its shape instead of a spinner, and item icons fade in with the window instead of popping in at the end.
  • NEW1.21.11 gets everything above as well: the tour, /tutorial and the faster panel. Two thirds of you play on that line, so it was not going to wait.
  • NEWThe mod tells our server, once a minute, that you are on DonutSMP. That is the Currently playing number on the mod page. Nothing about where you are or what you do — on or off, nothing else.
  • FIXEDOn 1.21.11 the sniper’s chime now starts muted, like on 26.x. The two volume settings disagreed about the same sound.

AH Sniper is paused

DonutSMP has switched its API off completely:

A Discord message from DonutSMP staff member archivePedro on 29.09.2026: The API has been fully disabled.

The AH Sniper priced every lot against what the auction house had recently sold for, and that history came from the API. Without it the prices it showed could not be trusted, so it is paused while we rebuild it on data we collect ourselves. The module stays quiet until then — nothing is wrong with your install.

Updating is the usual one click on the title screen. If you are on an older build, nothing breaks: it keeps signing in the old way until you update.
